

Pumpkin Bread with Chocolate Chips

Ingredients
2 large eggs
1 cup butter
8 oz can of pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie)
⅓cup buttermilk
½ cup white sugar
½ cup light brown sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoons baking soda
½ teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoons salt
1 ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
½ teaspoon ground cloves
½ teaspoon of vanilla extract
1 cup chocolate chips
Directions
Preheat oven to 350F. Grease 9"x5" loaf pan.
In a mixing bowl combine sugars, butter, vanilla, buttermilk and eggs and mix well.
In a separate bowl combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves.
Slowly add dry ingredients and puree to mixing bowl running hand mixer at a low speed.
Fold in ⅔ of the cholate chips into the bowl.
Transfer to prepared loaf pan sprinkling the remaining ⅓ of the chocolate chips on top of the bread.
Bake for approximately 60 to 70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
