DIY Pumpkin Oat Horse Treats

A couple of notes to start.  Fresh pumpkin puree is great but if that’s not available make sure canned pumpkin is 100% pumpkin only with no spices added.  Also, some peanut butter contains Xylitol which is deadly to dogs.  Make sure to check the labels on any peanut butter prior to making this recipe.

2 cups Pumpkin Puree (100% pumpkin only)

2 cups coconut flour

1/2 cup Peanut Butter (NO Xylitol)

1/2 cup Coconut Oil (melted)

3 Eggs

Thoroughly combine pumpkin, oil, eggs and peanut butter then slowly add coconut flour.  Let stand for 15 minutes before proceeding.  Roll out dough between layers of parchment paper. Remove top layer of parchment and use a bone cookie cutter or simply slice dough in rectangle slices about 1/4” thick.  Bake at 350 for 40 to 50 minutes.  Store in an airtight container.
